How we keep prices down

While scouring the globe to bring you quality, handcrafted furniture, we never miss an opportunity to eliminate expense from every step of the process. 

No Middlemen - We have buyers on the ground everywhere we source furniture.  No middlemen here.

Minimize Carrying Costs – We typically do not keep a lot of inventory on hand.  We bring containers of furniture over, and we sell it pretty quickly.  Since we don’t warehouse a large amount of furniture, we minimize our carrying costs.  Click here to find out how you can make sure we have what you want on our next shipment.

No Fancy Showrooms – We sell out of warehouses.  We don’t maintain expensive showrooms. 

One place we don’t look to minimize costs is in the quality of the furniture we buy and sell.  So you can expect the finest in hand crafted furniture often for less than you would pay for the typical veneer over particleboard furniture most other places sell.

The furniture you see on this site is a fraction of what we can deliver.  If you don’t see what you want, let us know.  We can probably find it.  Describe it, send a photo, or give us a drawing and chances are we can locate just the piece or pieces you are looking for or something similar.

Why should I buy from you?

First, we sell quality, handcrafted furnishings made from venerable, time tested materials,(link to materials used page)  such as teak, reclaimed teak, mahogany, bamboo, and rattan.  We don’t sell the veneer over particle board furniture you see everywhere else.  Our styles and designs are also uncommon, reflecting an Eurasian influence.   Also, we scour the globe, buy direct, and invest in our products, not advertising or showrooms.  As a result, our prices aren’t inflated by middle men, huge marketing budgets, or expensive showrooms.  In short, you buy from us because you get stylish, unique, quality, handcrafted pieces at a fraction of the price you would expect to pay elsewhere. 

What is the catch?

We don’t offer “36 Month, No interest” financing.  We don’t have an expensive showroom full of samples of our products.  We don’t do any mainstream advertising.  We don’t carry huge inventories.  If you are looking for that, we are not your source.  We buy direct, import containers of furniture, and typically sell it out of warehouses.  You found our website, so all you need to do to find out when our next shipment will arrive is send us an email, and we will put you on our distribution list (we will never sell, rent, lease or spam your email).  If you want to know what is coming over, email us, and we’ll let you know what we have, when it will be here, and where you can some see it.  A little less convenient than walking into a mass marketed, big box store, picking out your furniture, and getting 36 month, interest free financing, but you won’t get unique, handcrafted furniture at these prices either.   

How is your furniture different than what is sold in the big stores around town?

Most of the furniture you find in the big stores around town and advertised in the newspaper is veneer over particle board.  Our furniture is made of solid woods.  In addition, our furniture is made of materials,(link to materials used page)  such as teak, reclaimed teak, mahogany, bamboo, and rattan.  Our designs are largely unique and reflect an Eurasian influence and many of them you can’t find anywhere else – if you can find similar designs and quality you won’t find it at anything close to these prices.      

Where is your showroom?

We don’t have one.  We typically sell our furniture out of warehouses.  Email us, and we will let you know when and where our next shipment will be sold.

Why are your prices so low?

No middlemen, no huge advertising budget, no fancy showrooms, minimal carrying costs.  We buy direct, do mostly word of mouth (so tell your friends) and other guerilla marketing, and sell out of warehouses.  The money we save stays in your pocket.

How do I find out what furniture you have available?

Send us an email,and we will put you on our distribution list (we will never sell, rent, lease or spam your email).  if you are looking for something specific, let us know.  If you want to know what is coming over, email us and we’ll let you know what we have, when it will be here, and where you can some see it.

Can I reserve furniture out of your next shipment?

The only way to ensure that we will have exactly what you want and that we will hold it for you is to put down a deposit.  Typically, if you see something you like, we can get it on the next container.  We can’t promise someone else won’t buy it before you get to it, though, unless you put down a deposit.  Email us if you see something you like or if you want to know what else we have available.

How do I find out when your next shipment is coming in?
